Productive discomfort. Making space for our whole selves. Equity above ease. With these goals in mind, I planned and facilitated a monthly “Productive Conversations about Race” series within the SAS design department. We rotated between educational, emotional and action-oriented focuses, with topics like intersectionality, white supremacy, and building a toolkit for talking about racism. It was immensely rewarding to navigate these challenging conversations and share these growth experiences with my colleagues.
