Tech generalist, in love with making.

When there’s a project to be planned, a task to be completed or a problem to be fixed, I’m always anxious to hop in and get started. I see challenges as opportunities to learn and to make something better. By striking a balance between collaboration and independent elbow grease, my work style brings out the best of myself and my teammates.

Where I’ve been…

I studied interactive multimedia journalism and computer science at UNC Chapel Hill. My love of user-centered design and visual patterns intersected with my passion for optimization and logic, leading me to the field of user experience. After graduating, I was hired as an intern and then as an associate designer at SAS Institute, mainly on working on enterprise-scale data mining software.

And what I’ve been up to along the way.

Outside of work, I’m an athlete, a crafter and a restaurant explorer. Playing ultimate frisbee has been my main hobby since high school, and I’ve been lucky to compete with nationally competitive college and club teams. I love making things with my hands, from embroidery to paper envelopes to woven rugs, and much more. Find me bouncing around the Triangle, trying to get a taste of every restaurant, cafe, drive-through, diner, dive, eatery, buffet and food hall.
